Contractor Registration Process

If a licensed contractor will be doing the work, the contractor must be registered at our site.  This allows us to verify that the contractor has the appropriate state and local licenses to do the work before we issue a permit electronically.  If you are a property owner applying for a permit but having a contractor do the work, your contractor will need to complete the online registration form before you can obtain a permit.

Your registration information is reviewed by each of the participating jurisdictions. This approval process will be completed within two working days. Check your Contractor Profile (choose "Edit Your Contractor Profile" on the Welcome Page) to see your status. You can start applying for permits in a jurisdiction as soon as that jurisdiction has approved you.

To complete the contractor registration form, you will need the following:

  • Contractor E-mail Address (Authorization to use the site is sent to this e-mail address)
  • Company Name
  • Company Address
  • Company Phone Number
  • Contractor State License Number and Expiration Date (If Contractor has multiple licenses, each license number must be registered)
  • Contractor City Business License Numbers and Expiration Dates (Required if obtaining permits from Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Mill Creek, Sammamish, Snoqualmie; required for Gig Harbor if the Contractor will be working 30+ days in the City)
  • Contractor State Unified Business Identification Number
  • Indicate permits types you will apply for
